What Does FaceBook London Offices Look Like? tsh064
FaceBook has gone from strength to strength over that last 14 years. It’s difficult to imagine a time when it didn’t exist! Out of all of the social networks, I think it’s the one I “get” the most. Consequently, the one I use most often.
I must admit, i’m not a big fan of Instagram. The very idea of photoing my dinner and posting it online doesn’t really appeal to me. I just end up thinking what’s the point. However, it seems to be how you are brought up.
One of my colleagues is at the tender age of 19. For all intents and purposes, he is a very mature and knowledgeable 19 year old, but half my age all the same. He was two when 9/11 happened (I was in my mid twenties) and as you can deduce, he has never known a time without Google, FaceBook or Twitter.
I suppose, if you have grown up whilst all the posting goes on, it becomes second nature to you. Why WOULDN’T you share your innermost thoughts to complete strangers on a virtually anonymous network (Ahem!)
I am glad that I am a computer programmer by trade because it gives me the chance to keep up with IT as it develops. Or I.C.T. as it is now known. We all know how important it is to add the word communication into the phrase Information Technology. Isn’t ‘communication’ already catered for under The heading ‘information’? You no longer buy “Car Tyres”, you buy “Car Round Tyres”…maybe.)
Having said all that, I use FaceBook every day for work and leisure and find it invaluable at what it does. We were recently invited to visit the FaceBook Technical offices in Central London. They are very impressive – take a look at the video above 🙂
