Tulleys Farm Shocktoberfest Horror Theme Park #2

In this Episode of theShugrHeds…
…We double our laundry bill by walking through an Halloween Theme park in Sussex!

As I said in my last post, I love Horror Movies. Mom Shugrhed isn’t quite so keen as she gets squeamish. I’m glad that the American trend for celebrating Halloween is coming across to Blighty. It’s great fun. We don’t have enough good weather days over here, so we have to make up for it with celebrations. This time of year is great. We have Halloween then Fireworks Night then Christmas then New Years Eve! Partyyyyy!

It does surprise me, however, how many people are still rather opposed to the whole idea of Halloween. We tend to go only to houses that have pumpkins/decorations outside their house. If they do, you have a pretty good idea that they at least support/enjoy Halloween too.

The people that do participate are normally very generous. Lots of sweets, sometimes money – the lucky little people! We love going to the pound shop around Halloween and Christmas. You can never have enough tacky, flashing plastic rubbish! I realise it’s not really in the green “save the planet” ethos. But so much of our society is ridiculously contradictory that I don’t feel bad for long.

To make sure your kid’s Halloween party goes with a “Mwa Ha Ha Ha Ha Haaaaaaaaaaaa!”, check out this excellent blog entry from Jamie Sanders at https://www.scatteredthoughtsofacraftymom.com/17-halloween-party-games-for-kids/

When they are all partied out, you can all slump into a sugar coma in front of your favourite streaming service. This imdb list should guide you through the best of the best of Kids’ Halloween Movies.
